A Vision for 21st Century Learning

There is such a boom in the online world, it is interesting to think about what community is built among the online and users and how it impacts the students of today. I had not considered that facebook and youtube could be considered a place to go and hang out with friends, but is really is just that. teens are struggling to make sense of the world and honestly their parents cannot help-they grew up in a different world. Having a place to turn for help or just someone to listen could really save the lives of kids who may have no one to turn to. it may take years for us to see the impact-positive or negative-but there will definitely be changes made to how the teens of today see the world-a much smaller place than when i was in high school in the 80's!

Technology

I am excited to have started a blog. I usually read and respond to other people's blogs, now I have one of my own. I am a teacher and my mind is already working on ideas of how to implement blogs into the classroom. Technology is not scary, you just need to try it.
